Four years ago on halloween
I spur-of-the-moment took my Inge-rig
And set it up by my apartment door
So that the speakers were in the hallway
And then I turned off all the lights on our floor
And I lit a few candles
And played a low continuous drone
My plan was to scare the children
Trick-or-treating in our home
I dressed as a psycho witch
And maybe sipped some wine
And blasted intermittent medieval pipeorgan
At just the right time
I looped some crying dying baby sounds
Making an atmosphere creepy and sad
And then with vocal effects created some monsters
Grumbling and yelling and generally getting mad
Well let me tell you
I scared the bejeezus out of some little kids
And even made them cry
Just doing God's work over here
I don't even have to try
