I lay down my sword
No weapons in my hands
I turn my back and slowly walk away
I've battled here before
And swore never to return
and know that there is nothing I can say
But still they threaten me
Wish this I couldn't see
my shield is gone
and I walk so carefully
but i should be like stone
through my blood to the bone
And should not fall apart so easily
I could've stayed the course
And been a warrior for life
With an army that would march
at my side
They'd love to have me there
in each other's care
a military force so unified
Can't help but not believe
There's something to achieve
yet on my own I walk so warily
