Deadlines

Next year I will release two albums
I'm not sure how I will make this happen
But happen it will, happen it must
It's do or no do on this you can trust

It's good to have a deadline
It's liberating to have a time constraint
Cuz having no kind of limitation
Can be a paralyzing kind of restraint

That seems to not make any sense
It doesn't logically seem so
But I don't have to be logical
Cuz I’m an artist don’t ya know

At Duluth Cider on December 18th
Is where my next Pop-Up will be

Evening

Fingers skate along the keys
Making simple melodies
Golden lights dot the walls
Whispers echo in the halls
Just a quiet evening doing best
Sitting still soon time for rest
Shadows play from traffic’s way
A motion picture to end the day

Composer

When I was young
My dream for when I was older
Was to write for the symphony 
And be a classical composer

It's what I went to school for
And I never thought I'd sing
In front of any amount of people 
That just was never ever my thing

But the little melodies that I'd write
And the little poems that I'd form
Needed someone to sing them
And thus Ingeborg was born

Technology Blues

Technology can enable you 
To reach new fantastical heights

It can be a valuable, blessed, wondrous
Tool

But it can also enable you to become
a distracted, lazy, inefficient, easily frustrated,
confused, angry, annoyed, overwhelmed 
Fool

Which isn't cool

Technology is a tool
Whether or not you are a fool
Is up to you

I feel like a fool right now

I couldn't find a video that I just 
Air-dropped to my computer 
I couldn't locate the damned thing
From my imovie program
And couldn't drag and drop it
from the finder
My brain is in a grinder
And so I gave up 
Cuz I'm running out of time 
I got my poem deadline

So you’ll have to see the grainy video
Of me learning to longboard
On the lakewalk
Some other day

A Thousand Waltzes

I've got a thousand waltzes
In my head 
I've got to get them out
before I'm dead

I've got a thousand poems
Inside my heart
Grab a pen
And make some art

I've got thousand paintings
On my mind
Pick up a brush
Put in the time

i've got a thousand stories
I must share
Even if
Nobody care

Some of the them are pretty
Some are goofy and or funny
But one prolly has your name on it
That's if you give me first your money

Low at the Fitz

Do you know the first electro show
That Ingeborg ever played 
Was a Christmas show at Tycoons
Only I performed under another name

Yes my very first show ever with electro beats
Was all classic Christmas songs so dear
My arrangements were a little odd
I just play them the way I want to hear

Now a fun thing that I have going on 
Is that I'm gonna perform with the band Low
At the Fitzgerald theater in St. Paul
On Friday the 13th for their Christmas Show

I've been digging deep into various Christmas lore
Cuz there's a holiday album that I am writing
So I’m really happy to be doing this thing with Low
For Christmas-loving-Ingeborg, it's extra exciting

Christmas Ornaments

It's Christmas ornament making time
Hand painted glass bulbs just for fun
I have about twenty left over from last year
When ornament making first begun

But I'm making more right now
And I hope that you'll come see
